Frequently Asked Questions About Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning

What Do I Have To Do To Prepare For My Carpet Cleaning?

Leave all the heavy lifting to us. We will move your furniture out of the way when we arrive, but there are some things that you can do to make your carpet cleaning experience more effective. We kindly ask that you pick up all small items off tables and floors and remove as much as you can from the room. We will vacuum before treating your carpets but for best results, you may wish to vacuum carpets and/or upholstery ahead of time as well.

Will Professional Cleaning Remove Fleas From My Carpet?

While our carpet, upholstery and mattress cleaning technology removes allergens and dirt, it does not remove pests such as bed bugs and fleas. We highly recommend that you hire us to come in AFTER the proper extermination methods have been used, in order to maximize your results.

How Long Does It Take For My Carpets To Dry?

We get asked this question a lot. It typically takes anywhere from 6 to 10 hours for your carpets to fully dry, but since they will only be slightly damp, you can walk on them almost right away if you need to. To speed up the drying process, we recommend that you ventilate the area to promote air circulation. Opening up a few windows can be very helpful, depending on the weather.

How Often Should I Clean My Carpets?

We recommend that for the average home you clean your carpets every 12 to 18 months to prolong the life of your carpet and upholstery, and to keep them looking their best. For a home without children or pets, 18 to 24 months can be sufficient. There is no such thing as cleaning your carpets or upholstery too often. Frequent cleaning does not damage or wear out your carpets or fabrics. In fact, many warranties are only honored if regular cleaning has been done.

Are The Chemicals Safe For My Kids and Pets?

This is a very common question that we get asked. Absolutely YES! While our cleaning solutions and products are tough on dirt, dust and allergens, they are environmentally friendly and non-toxic. We take great care and responsibility in sourcing out the best products that not only do the dirty work, but that are safe for you, your family and the environment.

What Is a Carpet Protector and Do I Need It?

Carpet protector is the final stage of cleaning your upholstery or carpet, and it is effective in making your carpet and upholstery stain resistant. Even if you do stain your fabric or carpet, the carpet protector acts as a barrier, making the stain easier to remove. This is true of both water and oil based stains, making carpet protector a real asset. Carpet and upholstery cleaning results last longer and keep your furniture and carpet looking better for longer, when treated with a carpet protector.
